Shanghai Symphony Orchestra is now starting the donation plan. Since this season, the orchestra sincerely welcomes financial donation from everyone who is willing to support the development of art, to further advance the popularization and development of Chinese symphonic music, to push forward the international cooperation that would benefit so much both the orchestra and music in the international context.

The orchestra, whose history has spanned three centuries, is one of the best professional orchestras in China. It has performed in great halls from Carnegie Hall to Berlin Philharmonie. It has devoted itself in artistic exchange worldwide, promoting Chinese music to the world while introducing Western music in China. While being promising, the orchestra is now at the gate of a new era which will witness the advancement of artistic standard and the extension of artistic achievement.
